Danièle Héon is a professional geologist who was intimately involved with land use planning as Yukon Government's mineral assessment geologist between 1995 and 2001, using a variety of assessment methodologies and feeding the results in various land use planning initiatives.
Her main motivation was to contribute to a balanced process in the development and implementation of democratic land use planning. Since then, she has been a keen observer of the evolution of land use planning in the Yukon and has participated to public consultation as a private citizen.
