If you have installed Crimson Editor, unzip this file into C:\Program Files\Crimson Editor\spec. Then follow the included instructions (CrimsonEditor_Instructions.txt) (or in the help menu or online) for configuring Crimson Editor and to set up file associations.

Please note that I developed these files with minimal understanding of mapfile or .key syntaxes!! As I learn more, I may update these files. Email sam'at'planyukon.ca if you have any comments or suggestions.

This past spring and summer (2011), we invited potential and current users to complete a survey on our Yukon Planning Atlas. The results of the survey will help guide upcoming improvements to the Atlas, as well as our long-term data management strategy.

This data set provides detailed documentation and interpretations of regional terrain mapping prepared for the approximately 179, 321.5 square km of Northern Yukon Territory. The study area covers the following ecoregions, which are included in the Soil Landscapes of Canada (SLC version 3.0, 2004):

Yukon Planning RegionsYukon Planning Regions are established by Yukon Land Use Planning Council under Yukon First Nation Final Agreements, Chapter 11. Boundaries are generalized from 1:250K Yukon First Nation Traditional Territories, and watersheds, settlement lands and other sources where necessary, and are provisional until agreed to by Yukon Government and the affected Yukon First Nations.

These boundaries reflect the Council's September 16th, 2011 recommendation. Note that the boundaries in southern Yukon continue to be refined. See the outcomes of a recent workshop on this here.
